Affiliate Takeover Miami continues to stand out as a high-signal event in the performance marketing space.
Hosted at the Miami Beach Convention Center, ATO brought together over 1,500 affiliates, media buyers, networks, and advertisers. What differentiates it from many other conferences is the concentration of experienced operators and the general focus on what’s working in practice.
ATO attracts a different mix of attendees than most US-based industry events.
A large portion of the room is already operating at significant scale, including many doing seven and eight figure annual volumes. That naturally shifts the quality of conversations. There’s less emphasis on fundamentals and more focus on execution, optimization, and scaling challenges.
From a payments perspective, this is where discussions become more relevant; infrastructure reliability, approval rates, chargebacks, and long-term sustainability are all recurring themes in the conversations throughout the event.
For this event, PlatformPay.io made a deliberate decision not to exhibit.
Instead, we focused on walking the floor, attending smaller events, and prioritizing direct conversations. In this type of environment, that approach tends to produce better outcomes than operating from a booth.
This approach allowed us to spend more time with existing clients, meet new operators already running volume, and have more in-depth discussions with partners.
While the main conference floor was productive, a significant portion of the value came from side events throughout the week.
The Phoenix CRM private mixer hosted by Phoenix CRM at MILA Miami brought together a group of operators doing over $5M annually, which created space for more detailed conversations around scaling and operational challenges.
That continued at the Casa Neos Mixer hosted by Moonlight Payments and Rocket Metrics, where discussions focused more heavily on payments infrastructure, chargebacks, and long-term performance.
These smaller, more curated environments consistently led to more useful conversations than larger, open settings.
Affiliate Takeover Miami delivered on its core value: a high concentration of experienced operators and practical discussions.
For PlatformPay.io, the main takeaway is consistent with what we see more broadly, the most valuable conversations tend to happen in smaller, more focused settings with people who are actively operating at scale.
